Located on a beautifully landscaped 6 acres just outside of Chicago, Double J Riding Club provides a safe and engaging learning environment for animal and nature lovers of all ages. Our programs are designed to supplement your curriculum in a fun and educational way. Through our outdoor classroom, children and adults make meaningful connections to real-world topics through live animals, science, arts, horticulture, and other exciting hands-on experiences.
Live animals are a powerful way to capture children’s attention, spark curiosity, inspire imagination, encourage compassion, and introduce important science concepts. All of Double J’s programs include hands-on interactions with a variety of animal species, creating memorable experiences that are both educational and fun. Each program is interactive, educational, and designed to spark curiosity, encourage questions, and foster a deeper understanding of the animal world.

Groups can visit our farm for an immersive field trip experience! We offer year-round indoor and outdoor exploratory activities led by energetic and knowledgeable staff so educators, leaders, and parents can enjoy the experience alongside their group.
From harvesting fruits and vegetables in our gardens during the summer months, to animal encounters all year long, Double J Farm is home to many animals of all shapes and sizes.

Choose our “Zoo To You” mobile program, where our trained animal educators bring a carefully selected group of friendly mammals, amphibians, reptiles and more directly to your location. Our team travels to deliver engaging, hands-on animal encounters wherever you are!

Program Pricing Starts At:
$125: 45- minute interactive program
$150: 60- minute interactive program
(Note: Programs can be customized to tailor group interest, group size and age levels. Animals can be substituted upon request if applicable. Program base fee can exclude taxes, fees, and transportation).
Mammal Mayhem: What makes mammals so special? This interactive experience explores traits that connect humans to mammals. Participants will meet some of our mammal ambassadors up close while learning about their special traits.
Remarkable Reptiles: Reptiles are more amazing than you might think! In this program, participants will discover unique adaptations that make reptiles true survivors. From camouflage and temperature regulation, to surprising ways reptiles benefit humans, we'll explore what traits make them so remarkable!
What Pet Should I Get?- Have you ever wondered which pet is the right fit for your family? This engaging program helps participants explore different types of pets, their care requirements, personalities, and long-term responsibilities. From furry friends to scaled companions, we'll discuss what it takes to keep pets happy and healthy.

Zoo To You Travel Fees:
(Note: Price of program does not include fees for travel. Please see additional fees below for mileage commute.)
0-5 miles: No fee
6-10 miles: $20 fee
11-20 miles: $40 fee
20+ miles: Fee determined on case- by- case basis
