TWO LEVELS OF CLASSES.....Designed for Homeschoolers:Each session includes 4 weekly classes/month, with a Riding Showcase the last week of the month!- Tuesdays, 12:30 - 2:30 pm
- Other classes formed as requested (min. 3 per class).
Double J is proud to be serving the homeschool families with these new classes, which combine riding lessons with horse anatomy, art, book clubs, and more! Each two-hour class will consist of one 45 minute riding lesson (indoor arena) and 1 hour ground lesson, with the lessons tailored to age groupings. Students will have hands-on opportunities to learn about:
- The history, geography and science of the horse;
- Different riding styles during the 45 riding session;
- Interacting with horses and what goes into having and maintaining a horse;
- Proper communication with horses (how they think, what makes them move, etc);
- Care and feeding, grooming and troubleshooting and barn safety.
Students will also read a horse-related book and there will be a brief book discussion /project on week four of each sessions. Our goal is that your child will come out of this class with a better understanding of the relationship between horse and rider.
Session Cost & Payment: $200 for four weekly sessions/month
Please note: At least 3 students must enroll to open a session.
